UPDATE: Aegir lasted just over 6 days before retiring to Valhalla. I’m going to stick to mammals for the time being
I bought a goldfish today. He’s a juvenile black moor and about 1.5″ long. I’ve named him Aegir after the Norse god of the sea. Aegir is said to have maintained a distillery for the gods and had a bit of a drinking problem. He would get raging drunk and cause storms on the high seas, often killing sailors in the process. My fish version of him seems to be much more calm. He continues my recent pet naming convention and joins my retarded cat, Freyja.
